Open Labs in CSIL ASB 9814

The scheduled labs/tutorials are CANCELLED for this semester. Instead, we are running drop-in Open Labs with the following schedule. These Open Labs will be running as usual from April 8-11th.

Mondays

  • 1:30-2:30 - Mohsen (D200)
  • 2:30-3:30 - Mohsen (D200)

Wednesdays

  • 1:30-2:30 - Wallace (D200)
  • 2:30-3:30 - Wallace (D200)

Thursdays

  • 12:30-1:30 - Murad (D100)
  • 1:30-2:30 - Murad (D100)
  • 2:30-3:30 - Grace (D200)
  • 3:30-4:30 - Mankey (D100)
  • 4:30-5:30 - Dan (D100)

Office Hours

  • Dr. Lim's office hours will be held on Fridays from 3-4pm in TASC1 9025. Her last office hour will be on April 12th.

Grading

  • Weekly Exercises - 9 x 1.5% each
  • Academic Enhancement Program Participation - 1.5%
  • Feb. 6: Midterm 1 - Theory and Understanding (MCQ) (10%)
  • Feb. 8: Midterm 1 - Coding Exam (10%)
  • Mar. 20: Midterm 2 - Theory and Understanding (MCQ) (15%)
  • Mar. 22: Midterm 2 - Coding Exam (15%)
  • Apr. 15: Final Exam - 35%: Coding (20%) + Theory and Understanding (15%)

Final Exam

The final exam is scheduled for April 15th from 8:30am-11:30am. Remember to bring your charged laptop, a pencil and SFU ID.

Please report to the following locations, depending on your last name (for both D100 and D200):

  • Last name begins with A-M: Report to C9001
  • Last name begins with N-Z: Report to CSIL (ASB 9838N, ASB 9840, ASB 9804)

For those in CSIL, you will be asked to use the PC computers to submit the coding portion of the test (but bring your laptop as back-up, just in case). While the setup is quite comfortable, you may wish to try logging onto the PCs and Coursys beforehand to avoid any issues on the day of the final.
